Trent Comprehensive Local Research Network (CLRN) currently has a vacancy for a patient, carer or member of the public to become a member of the Trent CLRN Board. The position provides an opportunity for a volunteer in the Trent region (Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire) to make a valuable contribution to planning the direction Trent CLRN. The person appointed will have experience of being a patient or carer or someone else close to a patient in any disease area. S/he will have some experience of sitting on formal committees and have an understanding of patient and public involvement in research and the Comprehensive Clinical Research Network. The ability to ask relevant and searching questions, provide constructive feedback about complex matters and to participate as an active member of the Board is very important.
The closing date for applications is Thursday 08 March 2012.
Please note that the closing date will be brought forward in the event that 25 eligible applications have been received before Thursday 08 March 2012.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an informal meeting on Wednesday 11 or Thursday 12 April 2012.

CCRN provides support for clinical trials and other well designed studies in all areas of disease and clinical need.
