The West Hub of the Mental Health Research Network has a Patient and Public Involvement Steering Group made up of service users and a carer who meet on a bi monthly basis to discuss how service users and carers can be involved with research projects in the South West.
A number of Involvement opportunities exist (often on an ad hoc basis).
If you are a researcher thinking of putting a research proposal together then the Steering Group can look at your research proposals to see if they would work in the ’real world’. This is called the West Hub Research Materials and Advisory Service.
The West Hub is looking to involve service users and carers in as much as we can to improve patients experience in research. Please get in contact if you are interested in being on our mailing list for future opportunities.
