We are inviting children, young people, and parents or carers to take part in an online discussion to help design a research study. The study will explore whether changes to hospital anaesthetic rooms (e.g. lighting, sounds, decorations) can reduce anxiety in children having surgery. You will be asked what may help children feel calmer and what researchers should measure. The 60 minute session will take place on Microsoft Teams. A device with internet, camera and microphone is required.

What support is offered?
Participants will receive clear information about the session in advance, so they know what to expect. The discussion will be facilitated by the researcher and participants will have opportunities to ask questions. Parents or carers are welcome to support children taking part in the online session. Participants will also be offered a short summary after the session explaining how their input has helped shape the research.
