The University of Manchester & MAHSE (Manchester Academy for Healthcare Scientist Education)

Our trainees are future NHS scientists working in hospital laboratories.

They play a vital role in diagnosing and monitoring medical conditions by analysing blood and other substances. Their work helps doctors make informed decisions about patient care, from interpreting test results and writing reports to advising on further investigations.

Your insights help trainees understand what it’s like to experience medical conditions, tests, and treatments from a patient’s perspective.
