Observational study to assess risk of blood clots in COVID19 patients with different anticoagulation
Intensive care doctors want to assess the incidence of blood clots occurring in COVID patients. Our hospital implemented a new anticoagulation policy during the pandemic, and increased dosing of blood thinning medications. We want to see whether this increased dose reduced the number of blood clots. We would like your opinion regarding the ethics of accessing medical records of patients who may not be able to consent to research.
On inquiring, we will send you an outline of the study proposal.
