The role of pharmacy in the physical health of individuals with severe mental illness.
We are exploring the perspectives of service users with severe mental illness (schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, schizoaffective disorder, non-organic psychosis), their carers and care professionals (including drs, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, dieticians) about cardimetabolic health/risk and the role of pharmacy
Cardiometabolic risk: smoking, high blood pressure, overweight, obese, heart disease, diabetes, pre-diabetes, abnormal blood lipids, central obesity.

Each participant will be sent an information sheet which contains all the information about the study. In addition the lead researcher will speak to anyone who is interested to discuss the study in more detail and answer any questions or queries. The preference is for anyone interested to contact us by email rather than phone please.
We will offer a £10 gift voucher to patients and carers as a sign of appreciation for participation in the interview. If the participant is a care professional we will offer a £10 gift voucher if they take part in their own time (outside of their normal working hours)
Reimburse the participant for any reasonable out of pocket and travel expenses
