Organisation
Girls Like Us Community CIC
Girls Like Us CIC is an Islington-based lived-experience social enterprise providing trauma-informed creative enrichment for girls aged 12–17 living with parental mental illness. We support the missing middle Girls carrying silent domestic caring roles outside statutory social care or CAMHS thresholds. Through tactile somatic arts, relational key-worker advocacy, and safe peer cohorts, GLU helps young women regulate stress, build emotional literacy, and regain personal autonomy.

What support is offered?
GLU is launching an in-school pilot delivering our 10-module trauma-informed creative enrichment programme for girls (12–17) managing parental mental illness. Meeting weekly on school premises, we provide safe small-group spaces using somatic arts—clay work, monoprinting, and narrative zines, to relieve stress without forced verbal disclosure. Paired with 1:1 key-worker mentoring, we help students build emotional regulation, practical boundaries, and re-engage with education
