We’re looking for people over the age of 40 without personal experience of cancer to join a patient & public involvement (PPI) group.
What’s the project about?
• Cancer does not affect everyone equally. Some people’s cancer is found early and they can be cured. Other people’s cancer doesn’t get found until it’s too late to treat it.
• The aim of the research is to understand the key reasons why some groups are less likely to have cancer found early.

The Centre for Primary Care & Health Services Research at the University of Manchester does a wide range of research into major health problems, like cancer, as well as how health services are planned and working out how much it costs to deliver different types of care. The Centre has a dedicated PPI&E panel called PRIMER (https://sites.manchester.ac.uk/primer/) who ensure that all research done by the Centre has the views of patients and the public front and centre.
