Full description:

The patient safety team at Cardiff University have been exploring how parents/guardians/caregivers can help to prevent safety issues from happening to their child in general practice.

They are hoping to identify how medical care for children in general practice can be made safer through the support and actions of parents.

They therefore need the input of parents from a range of backgrounds to share their thoughts on the research findings and consider how to make general practice safer.

Organisation

Patient Safety Team, Division of Population Medicine, Cardiff University

The field of patient safety is the coordinated effort to prevent harm, caused by the process of health care itself, from occurring to patients.

We aim to determine the frequency, burden and preventability of healthcare associated harm in primary and emergency care settings, and to develop and implement interventions to improve patient safety in priority areas.
