Seeking to improve palliative and end of life care in care (nursing) homes
I’m designing a study which will aim to improve staff confidence in looking after people in care homes, improve people’s quality of dying and keep people out of hospitals. I’m looking for PPI involvement now (at design stage) to follow through to the actual study (if it is funded).
The PPI people would have personal experience of UK care homes, for example maybe as a relative of someone who is a resident in a care home, or is themselves living in a care home.

University of Stirling, Scotland is the employer and the lead organisation, but we will be working collaboratively across the UK. Meetings will be mostly via teleconference/video-conferencing.
All of research
Mentoring will be offered to volunteers by a researcher who has extensive experience of working with consumers.
Payment will be offered for continued involvement if the project is funded.
Out of pocket expenses will be paid.
