Seeking family & friends of persons with dementia to join a research advisory group
We need 3 people to join our research advisory group for a doctoral research project. You do not need any previous experience, just a willingness to attend occasional meetings and to give your perspective as someone helping or assisting a person with dementia.
This should not take more than 1-2 hours at any given time. You may be invited to review project related questions for surveys and interview questions and support dissemination activities (writing up the research for a journal/website).

The research project (carers experience of assistive technology use in dementia) is based within the Health Services Research Unit (HSRU), Nuffield Department of Population Health, University of Oxford. The HSRU supports a programme of research that enables the development of an effective Health Service, which delivers the best possible health to the greatest number of people.

You will have the opportunity to discuss the role with the doctoral research student before you join the advisory group. If you decide to join the advisory group, we will continue to support you by:
• Sending you papers in good time before a meeting.
• Being available to discuss any queries on the phone that may arise from your participation
• Regular feedback on the progress of the project.
We will discuss payment details with each individual member of the advisory group, with an offer of remuneration at approximately £20 per hour.
We will cover costs that include standard class rail fare, reimbursed bus fares or mileage for travel to and from the Nuffield Department of Population Health, University of Oxford.
