The Platform will coordinate rare disease research and address tractable challenges. Up to twelve, thematic research nodes will be funded.
Representatives on the selection panel should ideally have lived experience of a rare condition, an interest in research, be able to broadly represent the shared interests of the rare disease community and provide feedback on the public and patient involvement sections of the applications

What support is offered?
It is useful, but not essential for applicants to have experience of research or clinical trials. An induction call to the MRC NIHR Rare Disease Research Platform and their role on the Selection Panel will be provided. Members will be able to contact the team by e-mail with any queries.

£300 for the two days of expert panel meeting
