A trial of treatments for muscle weakness in older people
The LACE trial is recruiting 440 older people from across the UK, who will receive either leucine (a food supplement) or placebo, and either perindopril (a heart medicine) or placebo to see if either improves muscle weakness in older people – a big health problem.
We seek an older lay person to join our Independent Trial Steering Committee. This committee oversees the trial on behalf of the funder (NIHR), and advises the trial team.
