Full description:

We are looking for young people (under 18) with experience of mental health difficulties such as anxiety, depression, or stress to join our advisory group.
The advisory group will: review and feedback on research plans, documentation, recruitment, language use and publication of research.
Meetings to be every 2-6 months throughout the trial. Face-to-face meetings will be based in Manchester.

The Anxiety, Depression and Psychological Therapies (ADePT) Research unit is a collaboration between Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation trust and the Metacognitive Therapy Research group at the University of Manchester led by Professor Adrian Wells. The unit aims to improve understanding of anxiety disorders and depression and to evaluate evidence-based psychological treatments.

What support is offered?

Access to educational resources offered by the trust, including training on research methods and mental health and well-being understanding and management. There will also be bespoke training and support offered to members from the research team about research, research methods and processes.

Expenses will be covered for costs incurred due to involvement in the advisory group, such as reasonable travel costs and time .
