To support a research team investigating care for people who often phone 999 ambulance service

Full description:

Who: People who share experiences of those who frequently call a 999 ambulance: such as falling, managing a chronic illness, having no where else to turn
What: to help the research team by providing insight into the experiences of people often needing emergency help
How: phone/whatsapp/online meetings with researchers and research paramedics, giving advice during the study
When: 1 or 2 hours, 3 or 4 times in the next 18 months
Why: to better understand how to collect and interpret our data

Swansea University

Swansea University leads a team of academics, ambulance service managers, clinicians, paramedics and patients who collectively run the study. It is funded by the UK's National Institute of Health Research. We have research paramedics in participating ambulance services who will link with the Patient Advisory Panel. One team member also has special responsibility for involving public members.
