The MACRO programme, funded by the National Institute of Health Research, aims to identify the best treatments for adults with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS), with or without nasal polyps.
It has explored current care pathways, treatment views, and compared medical vs surgical options in a large trial. We have completed work helping us to better understand current pathways of care, patients and doctors’ views on current treatment options and their benefits and limitations, and a large trial which compared medical and surgical treatments for CRS.
