PPI reps needed to inform research proposal on colorectal cancer

Proposal looking at FIT to follow patients up after bowel cancer

Link to organisation:

https://nottinghambrc.nihr.ac.uk/research/gastrointestinal-liver

Full description:

The Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) can detect tiny amounts of blood from the colon in a stool sample. This blood can indicate the presence of a colorectal cancer. Its use in identifying recurrence of colorectal cancer has not been studied.

The first step in defining whether FIT has a role in surveillance is to collect FIT samples from patients who are due a colonoscopy as part of their follow-up following an operation for colorectal cancer.
