Safety effectiveness of local anaesthetic injection for hip fracture patients
Link to organisation:
We aim to find out whether a local anaesthetic injection into the hip area, given by paramedics at scene, reduces pain, is safe, improves patient health outcomes and what it costs the NHS. Paramedics will give patients either the new treatment or usual care (often morphine). We seek public members for our Trial Steering Committee and Data Monitoring and Ethics Committee.
