The Diabetes Medical Informatics and Epidemiology (DMI&E) research group is based at the Institute of Genetics and Cancer at the University of Edinburgh, Western General Hospital. Our research is very much focused on large scale epidemiology projects that usually involve analysis of linked data sets to inform policy and understanding of diabetes and its complications. Mostly, it does not involve direct contact with people with diabetes.
