Antibiotic research

Link to organisation:

Full description:

We are seeking members of the public to become involved in our study and to offer their opinions about prescribing antibiotics in GP appointments. We will ask a small group of about 4 or 5 people to meet and to look at some video clips of GPs talking with people about whether or not they need antibiotics. We would like you to discuss your opinions about the consultations so that we can compare your views, as members of the public, with the researchers’ views.

The University of Southampton

We are a friendly team of researchers at the University of Southampton and we are running a study which is looking at the communication between GPs and patients as they discuss whether or not the patient needs antibiotics. We have conducted several research projects and many focus on ways healthcare communication can be improved for both GPs and patients (like this one).
