Full description:
We invite people with lived experience of lung cancer or benign nodules, as well as carers, to join our public involvement group. Whether you’re a smoker, ex-smoker, or non-smoker, your input is welcome.
Participants will take part in two online workshops (2 hours each):
First workshop: 9 October 2025, 10am.
Second workshop: January 2026 (date to be confirmed).
Your insights will help shape research and development, and ensure it reflects the needs of those affected.

Payment:
You will be offered payment for each workshop you attend at a rate of £25 per hour, in line with NIHR recommendations.
Expenses:
We will reimburse up to £10 per workshop for any printing and posting materials that participants may require. Workshops will initially be held on Zoom/ Microsoft Teams.

The project is led by researchers at Optellum Ltd, who are developing an AI-based software to assist doctors in diagnosing lung nodules, in collaboration with The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) and the Office for Life Sciences (OLS).
