We are researching how staff impact patient safety on mental health wards. We would like to invite you to join our Lived Experience Advisory Group. Your insights can shape this study and make wards safer for future patients.
The Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG) will have 8-10 members and will meet will 8 times throughout the project (ending December 2027). You will use your experience with mental health inpatient services to advise and consult on all aspects of the study.

£75 per session
Expenses:
We can cover reasonable expenses such as the cost of a carer or childcare costs, but can not cover the costs of digital technology, such as laptops or phones

The School of Healthcare is based in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Leeds. Research within the school covers a wide range of healthcare challenges, including mental health. One of the themes of research is ‘Quality and Safety’ and addresses questions that matter to people and communities. The research aims to understand and improve the quality and safety of health and care services.
The research is being done by a team from the School of Healthcare.

What support is offered?
Support will be offered by a lived experience co-production lead who also has lived experience of using mental health services. Members of the research team have a background in mental health nursing and counselling and will be available to provide support if needed. Telephone debriefs will be offered to the group members after the meetings.
