We are looking for new members for the PPI Group (Patient and Public Involvement Group) for the STOPCAP2 research programme. STOPCAP2 is being led by researchers at University College London (UCL) and it aims to improve understanding of metastatic prostate cancer and its treatments.
The role of the PPI Group is to work with STOPCAP2 researchers to make sure that their plans and results are inclusive of patient voices and meet their needs and the research aims.

Payment:

We will reimburse you for your activities and time according to NIHR guidance and local policy. For example £75 for taking part in a half-day (3 hour) meeting and £25 for one hour reviewing and commenting on documents.

Expenses:

We will always reimburse your travel and reasonable out-of-pocket expenses (e.g. for refreshments) in line with our visitor expenses policy at UCL. We can provide more information about that once you join us.

What support is offered?

A member of the STOPCAP2 research team, and/or one of our experienced STOPCAP PPI partners, will spend some time with you at the start of your involvement to explain more about STOPCAP2. You will also be able to discuss any concerns or questions. We will also give you a PPI induction pack to keep. This should help you get started and refer to when you need to. If you need further training and support as you learn more about the research and your role within it, we will provide that too.
