Surgical Site Infection following Surgery for Hand and Wrist Trauma

Join a focus group session to feed back on proposed research programme

Link to organisation:

Full description:

Traumatic injuries of the hand and wrist are some of the most common injuries that present to the emergency department in the United Kingdom. Infection after hand and wrist trauma surgery is an important clinical issue, with the risk ranging from 4-30%. Through a variety of research methodologies, I will identify the risk of infection in hand and wrist trauma surgery and will evaluate treatments to reduce the risk for patients in the NHS. I am requesting PPI for a focus group session to feedback on my proposed research programme, including some detailed feedback on specific elements of a surgical clinical trial.
