The SWHSI-3 Study aims to improve the way we do research for people with surgical wounds healing by secondary intention (SWHSIs).
We are looking for people with experience of living with a SWHSI – this is a wound that is intentionally left open after a surgery and allowed to heal from the base up.
What’s Involved?
• Online group chats every few months (1-2 hours)
• Share your thoughts to help us make our research better
• Reviewing patient facing documents (e.g. study leaflets and forms)

Payment:
Participants will be reimbursed for their valuable time based on NIHR payment rates.
Expenses:
Meetings will be predominantly online, however we can cover travel expenses if required to attend in person.
Organisation
Academic Vascular Surgery Unit, Hull York Medical School
The Principal Investigator for the study is Miss Misha Sidapra, NIHR Doctoral Fellow at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This study is funded and will be completed as part of Miss Sidapra's PhD work.
York Trials Unit will be supporting the design and delivery of the study.
