A workshop to discuss research to introduce a childhood screening programme for Type 1 diabetes
ZOOM workshop for parents (child under 16) regards screening for Type 1 diabetes
Link to organisation:
We would like parents with a child under 16, who does not have Type 1 diabetes, to join our 2 hour workshop to hear their opinions on the potential introduction of a national screening programme for Type 1 diabetes. The workshop will discuss the potential ethical and psychological issues of informing parents that their child may be at risk of being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune condition, and is not caused by lifestyle factors.
