Exploring inpatient prioritisation by pharmacy staff – can you help us design our research?

Our research explores how hospital pharmacists prioritise inpatients for review, and how patients feel about this.

We are seeking 4–8 adults with UK inpatient experience as patient/carer, to join a Zoom focus group on Wednesday 25th February at 3pm UK time, lasting up to 1.5 hours. Participants will be asked to share their views on the study.

Participants must be able to use Zoom, communicate in English and reside in UK.

CHECKMED study Patient and Carer Advisory Group

Our research will explore what happens when a second person is asked to check the dispensing, preparation or giving of a medicine in hospital. We are looking at how second-person checking “works” and how it should be used.

We are forming a Patient and Carer Advisory Group to help ensure that the perspectives of patients and carers are at the heart of our research.

We are looking for 5 people who have received medication in hospital in the last 5 years, or have cared for someone who has.
