Community Appointment Days (CADs) for People with a Musculoskeletal (MSK) Condition

CADs offer an appointment to help people with their musculoskeletal condition, and other health and social care needs.

We are looking to recruit a Patient Advisory Group (PAG) of eight members. The PAG will meet remotely every two weeks during protocol development, every two months during data collection, and then monthly to inform interpretation and preparation of materials for dissemination.

If interested, please write an expression of interest and we will meet to discuss the opportunity.

Recovery following a hip fracture

We want to speak to older adults who broke their hip following a fall, or their carers. We are particularly interested in speaking to those who live outside of London.

We are interested in hearing what happened after older adults went home from hospital. We want to hear about any care you had in another hospital, at a clinic, or at home, to help with recovery. This care might have included physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or other healthcare professionals.

Recovery following a pelvic fracture

Sometimes when an older person falls, they break their pelvis. A lot of the time the break can get better without surgery. We are interested in hearing about the care in hospital and in the early stages after leaving hospital. We are particularly interested in speaking with those who did not have surgery. Our aim is to better understand what works well and what could be improved to inform a developing programme of research. We will hold a one-hour workshop online for those interested.
