Physiotherapy and intensive care unit rehabilitation research: how should we support patients from under-served communities e.g. ethnic minority groups?

We are looking for people who were patients on an intensive care unit or their family members. We want to address the current issue of under-representation in this area of research. To ensure diversity and inclusion we are aiming to involve people from ethnic minority groups.

We would like you to to join a one hour online meeting in January to advise us on a research project around culturally-sensitive rehabilitation on intensive care that we will plan together.

Polluter pays to address harms from alcohol, tobacco, unhealthy food and gambling

As part of this I'm looking to recruit people with experience of harms relating to these products to take part in a 2 hour online workshop to help shape this work.

This would involve providing feedback on my plain English summary of the project to make sure it makes sense and is easy to understand, to help develop the focus of the project, and to help me consider how best to involve members of the public throughout the project.

The workshop will be held Tuesday 16th December 09:30-11:30.

Embedding lived experience into research funding decisions with the Medical Research Foundation

We’re working with people with lived experience to develop compassionate processes to involve public partners in funding decisions. We are looking for people with lived/living experience of suicidal distress and/or self-harm/injury to become reviewers for Suicide and Self-harm Research Fellowships. This is an important step in shaping research to reflect real needs and priorities.
